Our trip to Korea : Mr. Kim's restaurant, Foods, Folk village, Cheongdam-Dong, and beyond!

This episode will be our last one for this trip!

A lot in our memories but we think all you want to hear from us is just about ...

 " Park Si Hoo "

So we're better keep it short!^^

One morning we had a meeting with our Korean friends.
After kept texting with each other, finally we would meet them today.

They suggested us to have lunch at Mr. Kim's restaurant located in Gangnam-gu

Mr. Kim's restaurant

Mr. Kim was Park Si Hoo's manager before he opened this business.
So there was a connection with our man!^^

Mr. Kim and us

PSH's autograph on the wall

The foods we had were the same orders Park Si Hoo had when he was there.
Eat like our actor and sit at the same spot as our actor sat that's our mission here!^^

Seafood stew was so delicious if you can take spice!^^

Korean foods

We tried many foods that locals will eat.
Whenever we recognized them from Park Si Hoo's dramas!^^

Odeng - Fish cake on skewer with broth

Tteokbokki - Spicy rice cake : So good

Gimbap at local market

We ordered noodles and the rest is complimentary

Spicy fried chicken with Soju!
Umm..we had a good sleep that night!^^

Korean Folk village (KFV)
Link http://www.koreanfolk.co.kr

It is a village from the Joseon period composed of real houses
relocated from provinces of the country.
It's raining while we're there, luckily it's light enough
so we're able to walk around the village without a problem.

Other Princesses' Man^^

Actually both of them were good looking actors also
But we had only one " Numja " who we care about!^^

The Galleria

After we finished our lunch at Mr. Kim's restaurant, we took a taxi to look around
the location Park Si Hoo's drama " Cheongdam-Dong Alice " used
at the Galleria in Cheongdam-Dong.

PSH at the Galleria shooting CDDA in 2012-2013

We couldn't find exact spot as Park Si Hoo took in the drama
but our Korean friends confirmed most outdoor location was taken on this street.
Only CDDA took place during the night around Christmas time.
So there were lots of Christmas light & decoration along the street
and hard to believe, it's almost five years ago in 2012-2013.

The Galleria

Time to wrap up our trip now!^^

Many thanks to ...

My dear Aann who came along with me in this journey.
Aann's also a big fan of Park Si Hoo then no one else I would like to be with
better than another PSH's fan on this trip.
I hope you had a great time as I did with you, Aann.

Next persons is our Korean friends, Shinsarang & Julie for everything
they had done for us during we stayed in Korea, thank you and we love you!

Thanks to the Park family, especially Grandmother and Papa Park
who gave us a warmth welcome when we visited them in Buyeo.

My last words will go to Park Si Hoo who is the main reason
I picked Korea to be my last stop before heading back home to United states.
Getting to know you, make me curious about your country, your cultures,
and Buyeo, a charming small town that I had never imagine to get a chance to know
if it's not because of a man names ...

Park Si Hoo, this extraordinary son of Buyeo

(PS : Many of you may curious we got a chance to meet him on this trip?
The answer is : Yes, we did!^^ )

Thank you for reading, everyone!

Our trip to Korea : Buyeo # Part 2

Papa Park & I most of the time communicated to each other with basic English
Lucky we got a Taxi driver who can understand English a little bit also.
My Thai friend, Aan had prepared her Thai-Korean translation handbook with her
to communicate with both of them also. I think that's a very good idea,
I can tell they're very impress to see Aan tried to speak Korean with them.
And this is a reward for Aan from Grandmother Park!^^

I approved this girl! Hahaha!

After that we started walking around the property and the boat house.

The guest house during renovation

Papa Park's planting a new plum tree on the hill
( The house with blue roof is the building where the Park family reside )

I want to walk up to the top of the hill behind the house
Before I realized...on the top
There were some graves of the Park's ancestors rested in peace up there
So I decided to turn back, do not want to disturb the area
After that we joined grandmother & Papa Park again

The well

The kitchen

Old traditional heater system (And stove also) to warm the whole floor, very unique!

We spent about one hour or little bit more before we thought
it's a good time to say goodbye to both of them.
It's a nice visit not too long, not too short
Both of them so kind to us.
I believe they do the same to every fans not just us.
Now I know where Park Si Hoo's nice attitude toward his fans comes from.

Plum trees in honor of PSH's dramas

After we left the house we decided to stop at Cafe' Hapoom
Very nice place, there were customers in & out all the times
Must be a popular place in Buyeo.

Cafe' Hapoom
(Our taxi driver told us "Hapoom " means " Yawn " 😴 )

We ordered coffee for our driver but he declined to have cake with us
He sat with us inside the cafe for the whole time
The cakes were delicious, I like my Tiramisu! Yum! Yum!

We didn't go to any restaurant PSH recommended because we know
we wouldn't be able to eat the foods over there
So we decided to go back to the bus terminal
Ready to return to Seoul.

Restuarant next to Cafe Hapoom

In case you want to know how we pay the taxi who stayed with us for the whole time?
First, we checked his meters in the car then give him 10% tip from that fee!
I asked our Korean friend later, she said that's too much for 10%
So you can give them lower than that as 5%
or not at all ( That's my Korean friend's advice.) It's really up to you.

Before we stepped inside the bus terminal!
All the sudden we spotted " The Big red ripe strawberries " at nearby shop
It's Buyeo strawberry! We couldn't resist.

So sweet!^^

So long Buyeo until next time....

~ Thanks again to be with us until the end of our journey in Buyeo ~

Our trip to Korea : Buyeo # Part 1

Many fans went to Buyeo before us.
No pictures you're not familiar with
Even with Papa Park or Grandmother Park.
But we still want to share with you anyway.
Hope you don't mind!^^

The main reason we want to share is ...
How we got there and how we felt about this enchanted place every fans want to see
At least once in our life time ( If you're Park Si Hoo's fans )

We started our day kind of late almost 11:00 am
But ended up it's not a bad idea to be there in the afternoon.
So...if you want to go there do not worry about the time too much.

From our hotel ( in Myeongdong )
We took subway to Nambu bus terminal to Buyeo
One way trip cost 11,600 won/person (you pay one at a time)

Our ticket from Seoul to Buyeo

Bus leaves every 30 minutes so you have plenty of time to prepare.
No need to bring foods or drinks before there are lots of shop to buy at the terminal.
You can eat there or take it on the bus. I don't think they mind at all.

Inside the bus : It's old with that kind of unique smell from the old bus^^

It took around 2 hrs drive to downtown Buyeo.
The bus will stop one place on the way. First we had no idea why the bus stop
until we saw a lot of Tour buses lined up at the parking lot then we realized
this must be the place Park Si Hoo Birthday Tour bus stop also for lunch!

Bus stop : Enough time for you to run to the rest room or catch some snacks or drinks

Finally we arrived and you can spot Taxi waiting to service you right away.
Just take one of them and told them you wanted to go to Park Si Hoo's home.
First I was kind of nervous and showed them the map.
Later in the car I asked him in English, Do you know Park Si Hoo's house?
To confirm myself he will take us to the right place.^^
And sure, he did!
He said " Park Si Hoo? " Yes! Yes! I know!
Then nothing else to worry about.
He will take you there no need for a map anymore!^^

VDO we took

When we arrived, boat house was in distance,
the house you see still during renovation.
Our driver told us it's a guesthouse

Late blooming this year so not much what we expect to see in Spring

Little nervous, who would be there for us to meet?
When we spot the boat house, we couldn't believe we made it!
Such a dream! After saw it on the internet for a millions time
It's still amazing to see the real one in front of our eyes.

Boat house : Very big in real and the drive way was very very steep
Only there are flat area in the back to park the car

Left over balloons from the party, some part already missing

Before we went any further we think it's better to let the owner of the house know
they're having visitors. So our taxi driver who was more than happy to be our guide
walked us toward the main house of the Park family.

Buyeo famous dog : Heard from Papa Park
the other small dog had died last year from old age at 20 years old. Wow!

Our driver

Immediately we saw Grandmother Park's smiling and walking toward us
then we know all our hard works to get here were worth it!

Grandmother Park and us

Later we spotted Papa Park's working up the hill, planting a plum tree.
After he saw us he walked down the hill to greet us ( such a lovely gentleman )
We told Taxi driver that we're from Thailand ( To make it's short & easy )
But when Papa Park walked closer to us he said to me in English that
Our Korean friend had just called him a fan from America coming to visit him
(Hahaha that's me^^)

Papa Park, Grandmother Park and Us
Thanks again for your kindness and warmth welcome!

We will never forget this memorable time with both of them in Buyeo!

~ To be continued tomorrow~
