My Golden Life ep 37

- Myeonghui is stupefied by Jian’s attitude when she tells her in confidence that
 there is nothing between her and Dogyeong and that she doesn’t want anything to do 
with Haeseong. After Haeja and her husband contact them, Taesu’s family tries 
to convince Taesu to take another physical examination. However, Taesu cuts them off
 by telling them to leave him alone. Meanwhile, knowing that Myeonghui 
and Jian have met, Dogyeong goes to Myeonghui and reminds her of his determination 
but he is shocked to hear what Jian has said to her.

- With Chairman Noh interfering, Dogyeong’s business can’t seem to move forward.
 Even though she can’t be with him, Jian feels bad for Dogyeong who is having a hard time.
 To move on, Jisu introduces Jiho as her boyfriend to Hyeok but her lie gets caught by him. Meanwhile, Taesu collapses as he is about to leave the house without his family knowing. Taesu’s family gathers at the hospital and becomes devastated.

- Jian expresses her feelings for Dogyeong while drawing the line, but somehow 
she and Dogyeong become closer to each other. Jisu hears from Namgu 
that Hyeok lives in a share house and intuitively realizes that Jian lives 
in the same house as him. Keeping his illness a secret to his family, 
Taesu goes along with his plan toward his death. Meanwhile, 
Chairman Noh becomes convinced that Dogyeong is seeing someone 
and pressures Jaesung and Myeonghui.

- Jian can hardly come to herself after running into Myeonghui and goes to Mijeong 
to confront her about keeping the restaurant. Hyeok asks Jisu the reason 
why she gives him the cold shoulder, but Jisu hides the truth and tells him that
 there is no need for a reason to dislike someone. Meanwhile, Myeonghui finds out 
about Sora’s engagement and starts to retrace Dogyeong’s recent encounters.

- EPISODE 33 : 

With his friend, Yonggook’s help, Dogyeong gets to stay in Hyeok’s room in the share house 
and Jian does not understand his choice. Although Jisu is stressed with her family, 
she finds comfort as she gets closer to Hyeok. Meanwhile, Taesu hears the conversation 
between Jitae and Jiho and feels helpless. Yet, somehow he is relieved to realize 
that his health is getting worse.

- EPISODE 34 : 

Taesu is convinced that he has cancer and starts to arrange his surroundings. 
Dogyeong works at a gym during the daytime and at a shipping dock at night
 to make money. Hyeok and Jisu get closer to each other as they enjoy the date
 at the movie theater. Meanwhile, on Christmas day, Dogyeong prepares 
for a special dinner and a gift for Jian.

 EPISODE 31 : 

Dogyeong announces that he would live his own life apart from the family of Haeseong 

and starts to work on the plan for his business. Jian goes to Haeseong group to deliver 

the lamps to Dogyeong and finds out that he is appointed to go abroad. Meanwhile, 

Chairman Noh comes to meet Dogyeong and gives him the last chance to choose. 

Dogyeong chooses to leave everything he earned from Haeseong behind 

and moves out of the house.

 EPISODE 32 : 

Dogyeong moves out of his house with only a handful of cash after being told 

by Chairman Noh to leave everything behind. Jian sees Dogyeong and thinks that 

he came by to say goodbye for the last time and agrees to have lunch with him. 

Dogyeong starts to work part-time at a gym to earn his living expenses. 

Meanwhile, after talking to Jian who comes by to see him, Taesu becomes 

heavyhearted and wonders about the streets and senses that his health 

might be in a critical condition.

- EPISODE 29 : 

Myeonghui and Jaesung flip out as Dogyeong tells them he cannot marry someone 

he does not love. Despite their disapproval, Dogyeong is determined and goes to 

Sora to call off the wedding. Since Chairman Noh asks Jisu earnestly, Jisu agrees to attend 

the anniversary event as Eunseok while disguising as Jian. Yet, she cannot help 

but feel frustrated about the situation. Taesu comes to talk with Jisu and apologizes 

for hurting her feelings as if he bids a farewell to her, which puts Jisu into great despair. 

On the day of Haeseong Group’s event, Jisu sees her reflection on the window 

that resembles Jian and starts to feel confused and panicked.

 EPISODE 30 : 

After she flees the anniversary event hall, Jisu wonders about aimlessly and heads 

to Taesu’s house eventually. Chairman Noh, furious about Jisu’s sudden obstruction, 

orders to bring Jisu back and browbeats her. Jiho takes Seohyun out for fried chicken 

and beer to console her after she performs at the graduation recital by herself without 

her family in the presence. As he has his mind set on, Dogyeong goes to Sora’s mother 

to call off the wedding. Chairman Noh hears the news and relegates Dogyeong 

to the Europe branch.

EPISODE 27 : 

Jisu meets Chairman Noh, her grandfather, for the first time and starts to

 warm up to him as he tells stories about her childhood. Dogyeong tries to move on 

after meeting with Jian while Jian begins to enjoy her days by focusing on designing 

and making furniture with Hyeok’s help. At the dinner with Jang Sora, the woman 

who is arranged to marry him, Dogyeong is surprised by how changed 

she is and spends a good time with her.

EPISODE 28 : 

Jian comes out to meet Jisu after receiving a call from her. Jisu has a lot of questions 

for Jian but gets flustered when Jisu acts unexpectedly cold to her. Sora notices that 
Dogyeong is in love with someone else and tries to confirm it by sounding him out. 
However, it makes Dogyeong realize his feelings for Jian more clearly. 

Taesu feels betrayed by his family for not acknowledging his effort after living 

his life only for the family. Meanwhile, Jaesung shows Jisu how much 

he cares for her as her father, which makes Jisu open her heart to him.

 EPISODE  25 : 

Dogyeong is flustered with Jian’s cold reaction towards him after he finally finds her. 

And Jian moves into Hyeok’s house. Dogyeong finds out where Jian works at 

and lets her know that he has applied for a position at a marketing team 

in another company on her behalf. However, she seems indifferent about it all. 

After looking for Jian without eating or sleeping for a while, Taesu even goes to 

the police to find out if there is any unidentified body found somewhere. 

Taesu hears about Jian’s whereabouts from Dogyeong who saw him at the station, 

and goes to look for her again.

EPISODE  26 : 

When she unexpectedly runs into Taesu, Jian feels more troubled and pushes 
him away, which makes Taesu to start acting strangely. 
Chairman Noh returns to Seoul in a hurry and scolds Myeonghui and Jaesung 
after finding out that Jian is not his granddaughter. Meanwhile, worried about 
her sudden change, Dogyeong keeps on making excuses to go to Jian. 
During a conversation with Dogyeong, Jian gets enraged as she finds out 

that he was the one who told on Taesu about where she was.

- EPISODE  23 :  

When Uhyeok finds Jian, he tries to convince Jian to go back to Seoul with him 
but Jian tells him to go back by himself saying that she doesn’t care about 
anything anymore. Once Uhyeok hears that Jian tried to commit suicide, 
he stays by her side and texts Dogyeong that Jian is fine and to not be worried. 
Taesu goes out to look for Jian day and night in despair. Meanwhile, Mijeong goes 
through a hard time as her children resents and blames her, which made 
her decide to turn herself in to the police.

- EPISODE  24 : 

Taesu goes to Jisu to talk about Jian who has been missing for over a week. 
It makes Jisu to become more disappointed in Taesu since he seems to only care for Jian. Meanwhile, Jaesung feels closer to Jisu and accepts her as Eunseok, as she acts unpredictably. Dogyeong is worried that Jian is not back at home yet and goes to look for her. 
Eventually, Dogyeong sees Jian when she is about to leave Incheon with Hyeok.

- EPISODE  21 : 

 Jian becomes even more miserable when she gets berated by Jisu. After hearing 
from Mijeong about how Myeonghui told her that she would keep Jian and her family 
from having any kind of decent lives, Taesu goes to meet Jaesung to apologize 
and to explain everything that happened. He also tells Jaesung that he would turn himself
 in once Jian returns home. Jaesung tells Taesu that he would decide on how to punish
 Taesu’s family after he brings Jisu to his family. Jisu grows to resent Taesu, Mijeong, 
and Jian more and more and takes it out on Jaesung as well when he shows up at 
the bakery unannounced. Meanwhile, knowing that nothing can be undone or fixed, 
Jian gives up and decides to end everything.

- EPISODE  22 :  

Taesu’s family continues to worry about Jian’s whereabout and search for her. 
Her resentment toward both families and the disparate atmosphere of Haeseong family 
cause Jisu to act out more. Myeonghui is disappointed by how different Jisu is from Jian,
 and feels confused as she recalls the memory of Jian. After hearing that Jian is nowhere
 to be found, Dogyeong starts to look for her however he can. Meanwhile, Uhyeok 
goes to Incheon with Jisu for Namgu’s favor. On the way back to Seoul, 
Uhyeok realizes that the woman he saw at the beach was Jian and 
turns his way back there. Jisu also turns the taxi
 she is on around and follows Uhyeok.

- EPISODE 19 :  

After the kiss, 
Dogyeong and Jian try to act normally but keep being conscious of each other. 
Jaesung is convinced that his suspicion about Jian is true while Myeonghui suggests 
 dinner with Taesu’s family to Jian. Thinking that she can’t put off any longer, 
Jian decides to tell Jaesung and Myeonghui the truth and tries to ask 
Dogyeong to be there with her. However, before she could talk, 
Dogyeong tells Jian that there is nothing he can do
 for her although he admits being attracted to her.

- EPISODE 20 :  

After being confirmed that Jian is not Eunseok, Jaesung gets infuriated
 and goes straight to Taesu’s house, which puts Taesu’s family in crisis. 
Jisu feels lost with a sense of betrayal that Taesu and Mijeong disguised Jian as Eunseok
 and sent her to Haeseong Group instead of her. Dogyeong tells Jaesung and Myeonghui 
that Jian had told him about the truth and that it was his idea to keep it a secret 
for a while. Yet, Jaesung and Myeonghui feel betrayed by Dogyeong as well 
and assure him that they have no intention to let Taesu’s family off. 
Meanwhile, Jian can’t handle the whole situation and starts to wonder around.

- EPISODE 17  : 

Dogyeong sees Jian as a woman and is flustered with his feelings for her. 
Jian finally finds out the location of Jung Kangsoo and goes to meet and persuade him 
to participate on the anniversary event. However, she gets lost in the mountain 
without any phone connection, and Dogyeong gets worried and goes to look for her. 
In the process, Jian finds herself feeling drawn to Dogyeong as well. On Jitae’s wedding day, Jian gets herself out of the wedding by saying that she must plan the event at work, 
but Dogyeong takes her to the wedding hall by surprise. Meanwhile, 
Jaesung gets shocked to receive a letter from an unknown sender that says 
that Jian is not Eunseok.

- EPISODE 18  :

Jian feels grateful and sorry to Dogyeong who continuously helps her with everything.
 On the other hand, Dogyeong feels downhearted to see Jian and Hyeok working together 
at the event. Meanwhile, Jiho sees Seohyun and Ryu on a secret date and hears 
about Ryu’s bad reputation related to women. After receiving the mysterious letter, 
Jaesung looks back at what happened so far with Jian, and starts to look after the truth. 
On Haeseong’s anniversary event, Jian acts quickly to save the day from a crisis of 
the first day of the event. Since her deal with Dogyeong is almost over, 
Jian says goodbye to him in advance. After this, 
Dogyeong tells Jian to never see each other again and kisses her.

EPISODE 15 : 

Jian confesses to Dogyeong that the real Eunseok is her sister, Jisu and not her. 

Dogyeong feels betrayed and confused while Jian also feels extremely guilty. 

Yet, Jian thinks that her best is to lead the 40th anniversary event a success. 

And she asks Dogyeong to give her a chance to tell the truth to Myeonghui and Jaesung 

herself and to beg for forgiveness after the event. However, Dogyeong is reluctant 

to grant her wish since she deceived his family. Meanwhile, Jian hears about 

Jitae’s wedding plan from Jisu and gets anxious about how her family might suffer

 from her situation. Jian asks Dogyeong once more earnestly to wait until 

Jitae’s wedding before she confesses to his parents.

- EPISODE 16  : 

Dogyeong draws a line with Jian and tells her that they are no longer brother and sister 

but only strangers as he offers her a deal. Knowing that Jisu is his real sister, 

Dogyeong pretends that it is a coincidence and goes to meet Jisu. After he hears the stories 

of how Jisu and Jian grew up as twin sisters, he feels compassionate towards Jian. 

Meanwhile, Jiho and Seohyun promise to keep each other’s secrets and to never meet again. Chairman Noh calls Jian to ask her and Dogyeong to spend a night in Yangpyeong, 

and Dogyeong is anxious that sharp-sighted Chairman Noh might figure out 

the truth about Jian.

EPISODE :: 13  

After Jian finds out that Jisu is the real daughter of the Haeseong family, 

she wants to beg for forgiveness and go back to her family. However, 

Jian sees how Myeonghui harshly punishes Jin Somi for deceiving her 

and becomes very anxious about what might happen if Myeonghui hears about the truth. 

Jian tries to avoid the Haeseong family using the 40th anniversary of Haeseong as an excuse 

which makes Dogyeong think strangely of her. Suddenly, Dogyeong shows up and takes 

Jian home to Myeonghui and Jaesung who make an offer for her to go to the States and study.

EPISODE :: 14

Jian feels even more guilty for hiding the truth about Eunseok from Myeonghui 

and Jaesung when they suggest that she goes to study abroad. She ends up meeting 

Hyeok and receives comfort from him. Meanwhile, Jisu visits Jian’s workplace 

and runs into Dogyeong. She finds out that Dogyeong is Jian’s brother. Jian makes up 

 mind to reveal the truth after the company’s anniversary event. However, 

a scandal between Jian and Dogyeong breaks out and Chairman Noh Yangho

 decides to reveal to the public the truth about Jian.

EPISODE 11 ::

Jian starts to work as a regular employee in the Marketing Team of Haeseong Apparel, 
and she somehow feels different about her position from before. Taesu works 
on a new business plan to bring Jian back and to become a strong and proud father 
for his family again. A group of ladies from the high society find out about Jian 
and make Myeonghui feel flustered. They even provoke Myeonghui 
and push her by saying that they want to see Jian right away.

 Eventually, while sorting out the documents at work, Jian receives a phone call 
from Myeonghui. With Dogyeong’s help, Jian makes it to the gallery on time 
where the ladies are gathered.

EPISODE 12 ::

 Jian becomes more and more acknowledged as Eunseok as she proves that 
she is competent enough to be a worker of Haeseong Group. However, Jian begins to doubt 
that she is Eunseok when she remembers something after seeing the scar on her foot. 
Hyeok runs into Dogyeong at the lobby of Haeseong Group and asks about Jian. 
Meanwhile, Jian meets Jitae and asks him about his childhood memories. 
Jian also begins to search for articles regarding her case.

Episode 9

Jian continues to feel lonely because of the dull and unfamiliar atmosphere 
within her new family. She becomes more and more homesick every day thinking 
about her old family. The restless conglomerate education classes start to wear her out, 
and Myeonghui cannot help but show her disappointment toward Jian. 
Meanwhile, Jisu finally tries to confess her love to Hyeok.

Episode 10

Jian makes an effort to get close to Dogyeong as his sister, and finally gets to meet 
with her grandfather, the president of Haeseong Group, Noh Yangho. 
Mr. Noh shares his plan with his family to go public about his granddaughter, 
as well as to appoint Dogyeong as the vice president of Haeseong Apparel. 
Meanwhile, Jitae is in deep sorrow after his breakup with Sooa, 
and Jian is hired as a regular employee at the Marketing Team of Haeseong Apparel.

Episode 7

Dogyeong and Jian are in shock to find out that they are siblings since 
they have sworn not to see each other ever again. Even though Jisu promises to Taesu 
that she will compensate the absence of Jian and be a good daughter to him, 
Taesu cannot pull himself together. Meanwhile, everything is uncomfortable 
and awkward for Jian in the Haeseong family although she knows that she needs to 
get used to it. Dogyeong tries to get along with Jian as her brother, 
but Jian thinks of it as only pretense. At the same time, it’s hard for Dogyeong 
to understand Jian’s behaviors toward both families and he eventually confronts her.

Episode 8

Dogyeong confronts Jian about her behavior towards his family members 
and asks why she doesn’t treat them like her own family. Meanwhile, thinking that 
Jian is putting herself in dangerous situations because of the money she owes, 
Hyeok tries to help Jian by lending her money and offering her a job. 
However, even though she is thankful, Jian hides the truth from Hyeok. 
Jitae coincidently sees Sooa on a blind date, and they get into an argument. 
Taesu sees the two fighting and overhears how Jitae has been really feeling 
about their family situation and blames himself for everything.

Episode # 5

Jian tells her family that she will go live with her parents who gave birth to her. 
When Mijeong meets with Taesu, she explains everything that happened and 
how Jian already decided to leave. Meanwhile, Jian pays the repair fee 
she owes Dogyeong for his car and gets back at him for the way he treated her.

Episode # 6

When Taesu tries to reveal the truth about Jisu and Jian, he hesitates because of his wife
 and Jian. Mijeong begs him to stay quiet, and Jian shares with Taesu how she wants 
to live a life with no more hardships which makes him feel sorry for her. Meanwhile, 
Dogyeong worries that Jian got the money she gave him from a dangerous source. 
He ends going to her house and they run into each other just 
when she was preparing to move out...

Episode # 3

Myeonghui finds out that the daughter whom she had lost 25 years ago is Jian 
and urges Mijeong to tell Jian the truth. Jian belatedly recalls the car accident 
she had with Dogyeong and calls him. When she does, Dogyeong offers her 
the last deal to make up for the repair costs she owes him.

Episode # 4

Jian has mixed emotions when she finds out who her real parents are. 
However, with the help of her friends and family, she pulls herself together. 
Meanwhile, Myeonghui and Jaesung prepare for Eunseok to come and live 
with them after telling their children about it.
