I am sure, fans of makjang style family dramas are having some kind of empty feeling,
now that the super popular “My Father is Strange” will end.
Well, My Golden Life– an upcoming KBS2 weekend drama is all set
to fill the void from 2nd September, 2017.
The 1st teaser of this drama is out.
“Bingo” to Shin Hye-sun because we all loved her in all the characters she played.
Whether it is the confused whining girlfriend in Five Children, the childish co-worker in
She Was Pretty or an over the top, girl next door kind of friend in The Legend of Blue Sea.
Hye-sun’s first drama in a leading role is definitely something to watch out for.
Its teaser is exuding the “feel-good musical” atmosphere that is exciting
and raising my confidence in weekend dramas.
Park Si Hoo & Lee Tae Hwan are the two leading men in this drama. “Two men”.
You all get it? There is certainly going to be a second lead syndrome!
The drama will revolve around Shin Hye Sun’s character who is finding ways
and means to improve her social status. She seems to get opportunities too,
but instead of rising up, she only falls down in her life.
Cliche story line? No, the teaser ends with a “Bingo”.
Shin Hye Sun’s character will find happiness
Shin Hye Sun’s character will find happiness
in little small things around her. That is her Golden Life. Indeed a happy feeling.
Lee Tae-hwan’s will play the role of a character as Shin Hye-sun’s high school classmate.
He’s a student trying to run his startup, an internet mall selling DIY (Do It Yourself)
furniture for singles. Wow. Life should be easy for singles as well.

Meanwhile, Park Si Hoo will play the lead role of a rich businessman owning a firm
where Shin Hye Sun’s character will work as an intern. And above it all, in the back drop,
we find a struggling father trying to improve the living of his family.
Family- I love this word. My fondness for this style of drama is increasing day by day.
The weekend series that addresses our daily struggle in life with a touch of humor
& emotion, in turn giving an intuitive and compassionate approach towards life,

is what I would want to watch during my weekends.
