KOREAN ENTERTAINMENT 10TH ANNIVERSARY AWARDS IN JAPAN
The 10th anniversary of Korean Wave in Japan award ceremony was held on October 19, 2013
The Korean drama “Winter Sonata” was broadcast in 2003, so to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Korean boom in Japan and to recognize Korean actors and dramas and musicians, the “Korean Entertainment 10th Anniversary Awards in Japan” was held in Chiba Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall on October 19, 2013.
The prize winners of Korean drama award and music award were invited to the award ceremony. Prize winners were chosen by the votes of Japanese fans of the Korean wave. The Korean Drama Grand Prize could be voted on the official website, or by postcard or fax. Voting was accepted only on the official website of Music Award. Voting period lasted until September 30 for both.
The award ceremony was broadcast live on TBS channel and DATV of CS channel.
Park Si Hoo is ranked # 6 in the Best Actor category.
“The Princess’s Man” is ranked # 4 in the Best Drama category.

Something good&interesting to know:
ReplyDeleteAt 31 July, after 40 days of voting: Park Si Hoo was on 6 rank and TPM was on 9 rank.
At 30 Sep the results are: PSH is on 6 rank and TPM is on 4 rank. TPM made the most spectacular movement in the first 10 top dramas.
We can only imagine how many votes received TPM (1 Aug -30 Sep) to advance five positions on list.
I really wonder if so many people voted for TPM, why they didn’t vote for PSH as well? TPM and PSH are in a symbiotic relationship and logically is hard to understand that somebody likes&votes the drama, but he/she doesn’t like&vote the lead actor of that drama.
In my heart, I’m sure that who voted for TPM (after 31 July), also voted for PSH and this is the truth. Where are those votes?
At least PSH should be ranked in tandem with his drama, as the first 3 actors from top. When JGS changed the second place (31 July) with YC
(30 Sep) their dramas made the same change.
I'm glad for TPM, the place is well deserved, but I'm bitter-sweet glad for PSH, because I have doubts.
It's quite observation, Daniela! Thank you for your information. Only one thing I guess is there are Moon Chae Won's fans out there who voted for TPM & her but they didn't vote for him. Ask ourselves how many of us vote for her ? I didn't! In many introductions ( how to vote ) that I saw they always said just concentrate on TPM & PSH. And I think MCW's fans probably did the same thing. I have no idea how did she do with this vote, you know ? Since TPM all her dramas was a big hit ( Good for her ) then I think she probably have a lot of followers as well!
DeleteBut don't you think some momentum is in our side now. From the most handsome actor ( Chinese one ) that he ranked # 4, Being nominee at Daejong, and # 6 at Hanryu ( not included being winner on many voting sites ). All fans are so excited & up beat now. then we must keep this spirit going. In this 3 big sites none of the top actors have their names on all threes but only PSH appeared in all of them. I'm so proud of him and I can feel it, Daniela. His time is coming!
I'll let it go Nikki! But I studied all the movements from actors top ten list and dramas top ten list (before and after 31 July) and if I would have the actresses top ten list it would be better, but even so I concluded that top ten lists are make-up here and there. I know how huge mobilization was among PSH's fans and I know how hardly they voted, therefore I was intrigued that he remained at the same place to the end and TPM advanced five position after 31 July.
DeleteI think that Daejong Film Festival is more important than Hanryu facade. It's a tremendous occasion to change the Korean mentality from inside. The first step was made.
This is more interesting! I found the results at 31 Aug:
DeletePSH downed 1 rank and occupied the 7th place.
TPM downed 2 ranks and occupied the 11th place.
At 30 Sep, PSH advanced only 1 rank and TPM, wow, advanced 7 ranks in a month of voting, unbelievable. How logical this could be?

Daniela, We really don't know what's in Japanese viewers' mind. Japanese can be very sophisticate that way. Just think about their # 1 superstar who you can't say he has any big hit drama or Movie after the winter sanoma ( Please correct me if i'm wrong ) but he's still No.# 1 in their hearts for so many years. Many of them may watched TPM and like it very much but when time to pick their most favorite actor then their loyalty to Mr. Bae called them again. I don't know but I know it will be the same as PSH's Japanese fans who love him very much then you can guarantee that they will never change their love for him as long as he's still in this business. His time will come!

DeleteYou found it! That's what I guess. Thanks for your information! Now we will move on to Daejong & Blue Dragon! As you said before these awards are more important than any voting sites because they're the real things & both of them run by Koreans. It means if he get at least one of them, no one can make a loud mouth that it's too early for him to come back any more. This's my opinion!^^
DeleteNikki! I am sure that top ten lists are the result of a compromise between Korean entertainment bosses and at the end all gained, plus the facade remained "virgin".^^
DeleteI think that Daejong is more important if there is a jury form by professionals (PSH's peers). They really could change the perception of the large public about PSH, having an upright attitude toward him. If I understood well Blue Dragon implies the fans' voting, but if he win at Daejong, will have a free way to BD - award at least in one section. We'll see.
I am aware of all the discussions about manipulating the various voting sites and cheating among voters. Despite all attempts to make Park Si Hoo invisible, he is still on the map. So whatever results he has gained so far, I am just happy to see his name appear over and over again. Although Park Si Hoo didn't appear on screen or other public activities since CDDA, has ended, he has never been really away. His fans have appeared in his place and the various voting results are the effect of all joint efforts.
ReplyDeleteI agreed Wilma! We work very hard to keep Park Si Hoo in front and we did. Many national & local elections I have voted all my entire life never make me so proud of myself as much as I voted for him every single day!^^
