1. Park Shi-hoo to make drama comeback in OCN’s Neighborhood Hero
Park Shi-hoo (Alice in Cheongdam-dong) has been cast as the leading man in the latest project from PD Kwak Jung-hwan, of Chuno, Conspiracy in the Court, Runaway Plan B, and Basketball. The spy action drama, called Neighborhood Hero, is being planned for a 2016 broadcast on cable network OCN and Park Shi-hoo has confirmed that he’ll be headlining. It’ll have been three years since his last drama.
He has since returned to acting in the movie After Love opposite Yoon Eun-hye, which has been shot but not yet released. Neighborhood Hero is about a former black-ops agent who lives quietly in a small neighborhood and runs a local bar, who ends up fighting evildoers and becoming the town’s hero. Park Shi-hoo has been cast to play the highly skilled ex-spy, who now runs a bar literally named Neighborhood Bar. He keeps his past hidden, of course, and while serving up drinks to everyone who comes by, he naturally comes to know the ins and outs of his neighbors’ lives and becomes part of their family.
He also takes someone under his wing — a young man who dreams of becoming a police officer — and trains him to be an agent like himself. Together they’ll fight the evil that the town faces, and become neighborhood heroes. They don’t say what this evil entails, so we could be looking at anything from gangster loan sharks, to foreign spies, to the zombie apocalypse (okay, probably not that). The series, though driven by spy action, promises to really be about family, neighbors, and frank everyday life.
It’s sure to be compared to Covertly, Grandly, which had a similar blockbuster-action-meets-small-town-family premise, and was really heartwarming when the neighbors became a makeshift family. Neighborhood Hero is being planned for 20 episodes, to be broadcast in 2016.

2. Park Shi-hoo to return to Korean broadcast
Actor Park Shi-hoo is set to make a comeback to the small screen with a new drama on OCN, according to a Korean broadcast outlet, Monday, Aug. 24.
In the new drama, Park will play the role of a heroic character who stands up against injustice by protecting his neighbors.
Park has not appeared in any Korean broadcasts since early 2013.

3. Park Shi-Hoo, returns to the Korean drama
after three years of break by OCN ‘Hero of Village’
The actor Park Shi-Hoo will return to Korean drama.
OCN noticed on 24th that Park Shi-Hoo is selected as the main character of OCN ‘Hero of Village’. It has been three years after he appeared at SBS drama ‘Chungdam-dong Alice’.
‘Hero of Village’ is the spy drama, about an agent who is wounded, met a temporary employee who dreams of police, and raise him as a secret agent.
Park Shi-Hoo will performs the role of Baek Shi-Yoon, who was a secret agent. Baek Shi-Yoon manages a bar and hides his past. He becomes a family with neighbors, and sympathized to wounds.
Shin Dae-Shik PD who takes charge of ‘Village of Hero’ noticed, “’Hero of Village’ is based on syp drama, but it shows honest life of our families and neighbors. It will be drama for people to sympathize.”
Also he added. “Park Shi-Hoo is suit for Baek Shi-Yoon. He will give fun and tears by becoming a hero of neighbors.

4. Park Shi Hoo Returns To Dramaland As A Crime-Fighting Hero
Park Shi Hoo will go back to dramaland early next year. It has been two years since a scandal kept the preferred actor from acting at the small screen yet his casting in an upcoming OCN drama has been confirmed.
Park will play an ex-secret agent who opens an area bar in the drama titled “Neighborhood”s Hero.” His personality becomes friendly with the regulars at the bar and learns about crimes in the neighborhood. One of his bar regulars is a tender guy who hopes to grow to be a police officer. Park”s personality trains him in secret and the duo makes a decision to combat crime together. They grow to be group heroes.
The drama starts filming in September and is because of air early in 2016.
Park”s closing drama role was once in the 2012-2013 SBS drama “Cheongdamdong Alice” with co-star Moon Geun Young. He played a chaebol for falls for a woman that schemes to marry a chaebol.
In the course of the closing two years he has worked in other countries. He seemed in a Chinese movie titled “Fragrance,” which did smartly at the box office. Then he was once forged in the movie “Love After Love” with Yoon Eun Hye. That movie was once shot in China and South Korea and is scheduled for free up later this year.
Park Shi Hoo is very top known for his roles in the dramas “Iljimae,” “The Princess” Man,” and “Princess Prosecutor.” He also seemed in the 2012 movie “Confession of a Murder.” The movie was once released and earned severe praise, especially in Japan, where the actor remains very popular.
