As I read the various Chinese news reports, I gather more information on the drama and why our Park Si Hoo is selected to be the main character of the story.

The story shows Park Si Hoo acting as an ex-spy Baek Si Yun. He was trained to be a human weapon secret agent. After leaving the secret agency, he bought over a small bar, hiding his true identity and live a lonely life with a lot of emotional scars until he started interacting with the neighbours and befriend them to become like family. From their pain and personal sufferings, he started to get involved in his neighbours' problems and eventually fight against the evil for his neighbours.

The production director of the drama "Neighbourhood Hero" explained that although the story concept is based on spy work but it will eventually developed into portraying the life and family issues of the common people (in Korea). The story will incorporate many incidents that happened in most of our (Korean) life situation, hence the audience will be able to relate to the show. Park Si Hoo's character as the spy turned neighbourhood hero development will bring much entertainment and emotion.
