One of the reporters wondered how someone who suspended all activities in Korea could still be popular in Japan? He concluded from the constant communication from Japan that Park Si Hoo's appearance combined with his tender character are the reasons for his incessant popularity.
The broadcasting of Cheongdam-dong Alice through Japan's KNTV has caused that interviews are coming up again.
KNTV has published two interviews at the homepage of Cheongdam-dong Alice.
In the first interview one of the questions was: "What is acting for Park Si Hoo"?
He replied with "It's like a lifelong close friend - the thought of his going away will make me feel nostalgic, so must make greatest efforts".
Another question was: "What kind of an actor do you want to become"?
The answer was: "A top star, a Hallyu star, making movies in Hollywood and all that, but it takes a lot of efforts and a long time. Most of all I want to be a credible actor who can move hearts".
In the second interview Park Si Hoo said amongst others that he decided to do Cheongdam-dong Alice, because when reading the script for the first time he received a very good impression. He believes in first impression and this was good. Another reason was that it was a character he had never played before.

Multiple other Japanese magazines have published interviews with Park Si Hoo. Like "Fun", release date November 20, 2013, where Park Si Hoo appears at the back cover.
"Confession of Murder" screened in Kagoshima from November 23 – 28, 2013. As is their custom Japanese fans had sent flowers.
Actually, the current flow of news has started the moment Park Si Hoo went to the USA for his photo shoot for ENISHI combined with a vacation.
His fans were kept updated by the tweets of his stylist and dear cats Jami and Dami.
After months of silence it was a relief to see that our beloved Park Si Hoo was in good shape and looked happy. His precious smile didn't fade away. He promised to come back in 2014 and we are in the last part of 2013.
Meanwhile, a lot of fans can watch the re-broadcasting of "The Princess' Man" through KBS World TV as from December 4, 2013.

Wilma, As we knew about his 2nd Photo Exhibition in Osaka this January 2014! I can see the momentum from all sides keep pressuring Korean media & Korean entertainment business to open up and recognize this fact. And if they want to get their credibility back from Park Si Hoo's international fans around the world. This's their chance otherwise many of us will done with anything about Korean!
ReplyDeleteOf course, we all hope for a positive bounce back to S. Korea, but it is also something we don't control, Nikki. Most important is that someone dares to take the lead in this. KBS may be the one, because they start with re-broadcasting The Princess' Man at the end of this silent 2013. Maybe it is because they are already into negatiations behind closed doors. Park Si Hoo has the market outside of S. Korea, but will S. Korea be able to put down their stubbornness? At least, little waves started to be visible in the calm sea. It is a beginning.

DeleteKBS is the public television and the biggest. It is sustained from public founds, "but is independently managed". The president of SKorea named the president of KBS at recommendation of KBS's board of directors. The political parties can name members of the board of directors, so is much politics involved there. If KBS breaks the ice regarding Park Si Hoo this means that politically, they receive a green light and that's a signal for the private televisions and I hope for the public.
DeleteIf is true the theory that Park Si Hoo's case was artificially swelling to be used to distract the attention of the public from lady Park investment as president of republic, maybe now came the time to repair the damages. What an unfortunate coincidence of names. Park vs Park, but our Park paid a price too high. Could be possible?
The time that Cheongdam-dong Alice broadcasted in S. Korea president Park showed herself a fan of Park Si Hoo, because he showed the Korean society as it is. It is all speculation, but if this is true the highest of the country is on our Si Hoo's hand and this could work out to his advantage. Overall it is considered as a good sign that TPM is re-broadcasted by KBS World TV.
DeleteDear Wilma in politics nothing is what it seems to be. She gained the elections at Dec.19, 2012 and became president at Feb. 25, 2013 after inauguration. CDDA was broadcast from Dec.1, 2012 to Jan. 27, 2013. Anyway, she better didn't like him at all because she maybe gave an idea to someone ... Even if later the justice will come for sure.
