Translation from VDO to English by J Ong, thank you!
Radio DJ asked " What have you [PSH] been doing for the past year of absence?"
PSH: "I've been busy looking thru scripts especially Scent's script and travelling."
Radio DJ asked "What difference has it been for you [PSH] for a yr before n a yr after?"
PSH: "Nothing much has changed except China fans has increased a lot."
Radio DJ commented "China fans has known you since your Princess Prosecutor time."
Radio DJ asked "Why did you choose "Scent"?"
PSH: "I like the script for its pure love theme and that the character is close to my personality and that the Director and I have good chemistry."
Radio DJ asked "What is In-Joon's character like in Scent?"
PSH: "My role is a Korean interior designer and if I am not an actor, I would be working as an interior designer. Hence I look forward to acting this role of a warm man."
Radio DJ asked: "Was the role of interior designer added in on your request?"
PSH: "No, it was already part of the story and script when it was offered to me."
Radio DJ: "I saw the movie briefs and read up that the male protagonist is a very gentle, caring and docile man who treats his bossy female lead, Julie, with warmth, care and gentlemanly. Are you like that in real life?"
PSH: "At that time in the role, In-Joon had lost his wallet, money and passport, hence since Julie allowed him to stay at her home for free in exchange for him doing the housework, he has no choice but to obliged."
Radio DJ: "There are some scenes which are greatly exaggerated for example Julie throw her rubbish on the floor and asked In-Joon to sweep clean. If you [PSH] were to meet such a girl in reality, how would you react?"
PSH: *laughs* "I would still treat the girl with warmth and care."
Radio DJ: "Ah, so you will still be like a warm man. I can see that you are a warm person. Chinese has a saying where regardless animals or man when they see you and they feel comfortable with you then you are a warm person."
PSH on listening to the interpretation says "Xie Xie" (thank you to the DJ for his praise) ^^
Radio DJ: "As mentioned earlier, if you meet such a bossy and rude girl in real life, would you still fall for her and like her?"
PSH: "If I fall for her on first sight, I am willing to tolerate the girl's bossy attitude otherwise I'll stay away from this type of girl."
Radio DJ: "Based on my source, I heard you are interested in one of our Chinese actress. May I check with you which Chinese actress are you most interest in? I need some confirmation to clarify if my source is accurate."
PSH: "I have not met many Chinese actress."
Radio DJ: "I just need to check if what I heard is correct, you are keen on Tang Wei, is it true?"
PSH: "ah... I admire Tang Wei for her talent and versatility as an actress only and not interested in her personally per se."
Radio DJ: "ok that clarifies what I heard. hahaha..." "in the movie, In-Joon flew from Korean to China to look for his girlfriend without a plan. Will you do that for your love in real life?"
PSH: "Of course I will." ^^
Radio DJ: "Have you travel to various Chinese cities? Do you like to travel?"
PSH: "Yes, I like to travel and due to filming of Scent, had the opportunity to visit various Chinese cities especially Shanghai which I find it beautiful and clean. In Fuzhou, I like the scenery from the hotel room I see, like a little forest. "
Radio DJ: "An important question, as this is your first time in China and first time working in China, is there any difference to working in Korea?"
PSH: "Korea filming is like live filming unlike in China where you film in advance the whole series or show way before it is broadcasted on TV or movie screen. Korea also often had to work late nights to meet the tight deadline and most of the time, actors are not aware of what they next scene will be, But filming in China has a planned schedule and the production crew follow the schedule closely so everyone knows what is to be expected next hence more efficient and lesser late night filming. In Korea, as there's no language barrier, everyone is in good mood in the beginning but as filming dragged on, everyone get more tired and become more sensitive. On the other hand, in China, due to language barrier, nobody talks to me initially but as time goes on and we start to know each other better, I find the Chinese colleagues treat me very well and with sincerity like brothers. The most impressive thing from Scent production is there has been no late night filming at all."
Radio DJ: "Ah...so lucky that every thing went so smoothly. Last question, being a senior actor in this industry, what kind of advice would you like to give to the younger actors?"
PSH: "Starting out is only half a journey. Once you start, you must have the courage to continue on the path and never give up. Thank you!"
Radio DJ: "Thank you."

DeleteSometimes it's hard to explain why I feel about Park Si Hoo that different from many actors who I always think they are in different planet from me!^^ This quote from the DJ had answered my own question! Yes that's what I think about him. Just feel comfortable with him! Simple just that!^^
