Sep '08 Instyle : Park Sihoo’s Photo Essay ( 2 )

Translated by Jinju/ parksihoo.com, thank you!

Park Sihoo says, “Historical drama was the first time for me, so that it was interesting and refreshing. The teamwork was so good, that whenever going on a location, some of the people with the same leisure time gathered by themselves and went on a picnic to the circumferential mountain or valley or went on a fishing to the sea. As a matter of course, I took snapshots from every chance to chance, all into the camera. Although a piece of work is gotten through with, now the remaining memories will last, won’t it?!”

He still didn’t look to have completely found his way out of the ‘Sihoo’ in . With the reception of a spotlight though this last work, Park Sihoo has been gaining his ground as a TV-actor.

Given a chance, he cautiously hints one of his desires, he’d like to appear in movies where he can expand his range of performance. Park Sihoo says, “I don’t have the talent to appear on entertainment programs through good sense humor like some other actors or to make a surprise debut as a singer through good singing ability. However, as far as at least performance is concerned, I have been making efforts to grow into an actor who rightly takes a proper role. Given a chance, I should like to make a collection of what pictures I am fond of and publicize a book.”

There are especially plenty in common between him and photograph. In the manner of storing a moment ever unforgettable away in a picture, he always recollects and reminds himself of the image of how he himself should grow up as an actor. Leaving memory behind, by the person Park Sihoo who wishes to remain as an actor of various colors as in photographs, will continue still in the future.

” According to what Park Sihoo says, “The charming of photograph is that it has no fixed stereotype. You just photograph no matter however you’d like to and get a camera on whatever you’d like to contain. Perhaps, that’s why I might continue to photograph things. Like some photograph, I should like to be a good performer whom people wish to keep within their eyes. You know, like a photo album that keeps ever refreshing no matter how often seeing me.”

* Park Sihoo’s photograph note of lecture

1. When taking a moving subject, one should push the shutter a time faster in order to make a rendering into a livelier one.

2. Don’t attempt to contain everything in a piece of photo, but instead, set a topic and photograph only the part in point.

3. The sunlight coming down 45-degree-something obliquely from the side enlivens the stereography of a figure subject and so gives liveliness.
