My deepest appreciation to all Korean fans

This post was uploaded to Sihoorang on November 3, 2013 at 1:13 am KT

S. Korea is having a culture in its own. Someone with a different cultural background may have difficulties with understanding the values which rule society in S. Korea.

Being from The Netherlands and raised by a mom who has taught me to stand for my own values and principles notwithstanding counteraction S. Korean society is opposite to the society I come from.

Not only am I fan of Park Si Hoo, but I also have deepened myself into Korean history for a better understanding.
Therefore, I know your presence at Daejong Film Festival to openly support and show your love to our beloved Park Si Hoo has required a lot of courage from you.
I am so grateful to you for showing everyone how much loved and appreciated our Park Si Hoo still is. Your banners were beautiful.

I bow my head with deepest respect to all of you.

  2. Last night when I saw your post here, my eyes're already close half way and my brain already gone to bed!^^ Want to write something but can't even look at the keyboard ( That's the way I type!^^ ) But I did a long version over there, you know where!^^ Thank you for another deep look with Korean culture. You know we, international fans, always speak up our mind & not afraid to say it loud & clear when we feel something not right & frustrated. But when you're part of that society, it likes you're their children as a whole. But I still believe International fans must continue to speak it clear & loud to echo back to people in South Korea how we think about it. To protect PSH & comfort him that most of the world still stand by him and we did!

    1. Yes, I've seen your other comment and responded to it. You're right we should keep expressing ourselves but we should choose our words with care. Sometimes it's important too to know you are backed up by people from outside your own country. When I get a sign to speak up, I know I have to do it. Still I felt doubt, but finally I did.^^

    1. Thank you for leaving your comment. Sometimes someone has to speak or show up openly. If everyone keeps silent nothing will be going to change for the better. It's my little share to back up those who can be there in person.
