[MV] Park Si Hoo's Trip To Beijing, China from April 15 to 17, 2014

Park Si Hoo's attendance to the opening ceremony of "4th Beijing International Film Festival" together with the "Scent" production staff has been a great success. Park Si Hoo was admired for his interaction with the numerous fans who screamed his name and were recording videos of him. Park Si Hoo kept smiling as a true "Smiling Star". Many of the participants as well as staff approached him for photos and autographs testifying to his high popularity in China. Before the ceremony Park Si Hoo was joking around with his co-stars and they took some selfies. Park si Hoo's smile and charisma have earned him the nickname of the "Smiling Prince". His personal image and charitable activities have also won him the nickname of "Warm Male".

The photos I've used in this MV are just a small part of all the ones that are circulating on the world wide web. However, it gives an impression of how popular Park Si Hoo is in China. Whenever he appears there he is awaited by many fans who keep supporting him from the moment of arriving till the moment of departure.

Members of EXO are partly of Chinese origin. So their music is appropriate to this MV and the screaming at the background during their performance is the same screaming Park Si Hoo encounters as soon as he lands in China. Hope you enjoy the combination of the photos and music in this MV.^^

Candidates for 34th Blue Dragon Film Awards have been announced

Unfortunately, Park Si Hoo has not been nominated for any of the three categories he was enlisted in as potential nominee before.
The same goes for Director Jung Byung Gil, who has recently received the Award for "Best New Director" at 50th Deajong Film Festival.
"Confession of Murder" didn't make it to a nomination for "Best Film Award".

As his fans we feel very sad about this news. However, a new year will offer new opportunities for our Park Si Hoo. We will always support him. Fighting!

What is Deajong Film Festival?

Daejong Film Festival is the oldest film award ceremony in Korea and the only film award program hosted by the government. Each year’s winners are selected based on opinions of festival-goers and film experts. The event brings together fans, the media and people from across the film industry for an exciting public event.

It is the most prestigious industry award program in Korea. The Daejong Film Awards brings hundreds of Korean stars together in one place. In the hours leading up to the ceremony, visitors wait outside for stars to grace the red carpet. The show also invites several guest performers to highlight the event.

In the days before the awards ceremony the public is often guessing as to who will win in each category of awards. When the show has ended the talk also focuses on those claiming the unofficial titles of most stylish outfit, best hairstyles and the not-so coveted branding of worse dressed.

What follows now is my own point of view based on what I've read about the results of 49th Daejong Film Awards.

Last year "Masquerade" won 15 out of the 20 awards. This movie hit the box office. So did "Confession of Murder". "Masquerade" had won a foreign festival award. So did "Confession of Murder". "Masquerade" had been screened in other Asian countries and the USA. So did "Confession of Murder" and still does. Next festival in the USA will be in San Diego. "Confession of Murder" is still promoting Korean movie in foreign countries. On top of that it has received many good reviews from the screenings in Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong and the USA.

Last year "Pieta" was awarded at Venices Film Festival in Italy and the director received the award for Best New Director at 49th Daejong Film Festival.

It would surprise me when "Confession of Murder" should not receive at least one award. In my opinion Park Si Hoo has a good chance to receive the award for Best New Actor. He is deserving this so much! Let's wait till 1st November. If I have a chance I will watch online at KBS2.

"Confession of Murder" is doing well in the USA

Recently "Confession of Murder" has been invited to be part of more film festivals in the USA.

14th San Diego Asian Film Festival which will be held November 7-16, 2013.

This is also the premiere of "Confession of Murder" at the West Coast of the States.

Ithaca International Fantastic Film Festival which will be held in New York, November 13-17, 2013.

"Confession of Murder" will be the opening movie on November 13, 2013.

"Confession of Murder" will take part in the roadshow of 2013 Fantastic Fest Tour.

The tour will start in Austin, Texas on November 17, 2013 and will stop in Denver, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, New York, San Antonio and Virginia.

It is the first time "Fantastic Fest" is going on tour. It is a great honor "Confession of Murder" has been invited to join.

We have a lot to cheer for Park Si Hoo in November. His debut movie is skyrocketing him in the international movie world.

Background information Blue Dragon Film Awards

The "Blue Dragon Film Awards" (Korean:청룡영화상) is an annual awards ceremony that is presented by Sports Chosun for excellence in film in South Korea.

The "Blue Dragon Film Awards" considers only blockbusters and popular movies of high artistic value released during the previous year. During the selection process, about forty movies that have made it to the final list are screened to the public for free. After the screening of each selection, the awards ceremony opens.

The "Blue Dragon Awards" and the "Grand Bell Awards" are the two most popular film awards in South Korea.

So Park Si Hoo is having a chance to win an Award in the two most popular film awards in South Korea. The month of November will be a very exciting month for all of us.
