Today, November 17th is a full moon
&
It is Loi Krathong Festival,
One of the most popular festival in Thailand.
For your information : Loi means " To float ", while krathong refers to
the (usually) lotus-shaped container which floats on the water.
Krathong has no other meaning in Thai besides decorative floats,
Loi Krathong takes place on the evening of the full moon of November.
On the night of the full moon, Thai people launch our krathong on a river, canal or a pond,
making a wish as we do so. The krathong's floating symbolizes let go of
all one's hatred, anger, and defilements. People sometime write a little note about
their unfortunate or frustration of the past year on the krathong as a symbol of
let go of negative thoughts.
Today we will let go all the negative feeling & thought in 2013 with these Krathongs to prepare ourselves for the new future that will be better & brighter in 2014 for us & for our beloved actor.
